Our Story

How we met

Meghan moved to Seattle from Pennsylvania after graduating from college and settled in to a great career and supportive friend group. Mike is a Seattle native and has a awesome friends and lots of family in the area. We started online dating, a thing neither of us really enjoyed, until we met each other. The sparks were instantaneous and we built a lasting relationship with the cornerstones of respect, care, friendship, and humor.

Since meeting in 2016 we've gotten to explore the world together, learn lots of new favorite meals to cook together, bought two houses, rescued an amazing pup, and hosted many a game night with friends!

At the end of 2022, we got an unexpected call that a baby girl was already born and in a local NICU and her birth parents had chosen us. It was love at first sight! We were beyond thrilled to bring her home after a few more weeks in the NICU where we got to visit her every day. She came home tiny but healthy and she has taught us something new every day. We named her Theodora and we love getting to watch her grow and thrive. Theo cannot wait to be a big sister and we cannot wait to bring another amazing kid into our family!

OUR LIFESTYLE

We both work from home and absolutely love it. We have great careers and work for companies that allow us growth, stability, and flexibility. We take advantage of the nearby forested park every day for a dog walk.

We are very lucky to have Meghan's mom as a live-in grandma/nanny for Theo! She moved in after retirement and has been an awesome daytime companion for Theo while we work in our respective in home offices.

We cook at home most nights of the week and love to grill out in our covered patio space. We love to play tourist in our city and explore the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. We are members at the zoo and love to take Theo on neighborhood and park walks. She's in full-on toddler independence mode these days and loves to play with her cousins and walk herself around wherever we go!

After Theo goes to bed, most nights you can find Meghan knitting her newest creation and Mike dominating at a video game, playing golf, or darts at home. We're both homebodies with a love for adventure.
